For the voiceover recording, we found a quiet room and used the camera and the microphone. Later when it comes to editing the voiceover, we will detatch and delete the visual element, as it is only the audio that we need.
Firstly we did a sound check to ensure that the microphone was working and that the lady who was doing our voice over could be heard clearly.
We asked her to read the script out and instructed her when to leave pauses. This would then be easier to input/output when it came to editing because we would acknowledge that they are seperate sections and it will be easier to change, cut or crop.
Once she had read all the script and we had recorded it, we asked her to say the imformative section for our radio trailer, as we needed to be consistent in all of our media products. They all needed to have the same person speaking otherwise it would not be reliable.
