Editing

For the editing process we used adobe premiere again.
We basically repeated the same process that we used on our summer documentary project, but just on a larger scale.

The editing was a time consuming part of the overall product. We would change the order of things and change the loudness of the speaking in interviews.
we had to place many things on top of the original video line such as; cutaways, voiceover, graphics and ofcourse a sound bed. We also had to remove some sound from certain archive footage and the ambient sound was deleted in the cutaways.
In order to achieve that you have to select the clip you want, right click and press the unlink button - this then makes the sound and image from that clip become seperate. You then just delete either the visual or audio that is not needed.

It was much easier to place things in order on our timeline, as we had already had a running order that told us what to put where.

We also could only have exactly 5 minutes of footage (including the titles)as our opening sequence. We could monitor how much time we had used by looking at the timeline above the audio/video lines.
This provided great diffuculty as we found it hard to fit everything into that short amount of time. This eventually resulted in leaving certain inteviews and cutaways out.

We also changed the bluescreen background on the interview with Joe, we knew that we must have it relevant to what he was saying, therefore we decided on a dentist.
